Water, Wastewater and Storm Water

Water

The City owns and operates its own water production and distribution system.  Water is produced via a series of wells located throughout the City.  The City also owns two reservoir facilities to provide water storage capacity.  The City Council has adopted a policy that the City be able to produce 2 times the water demand.  This policy ensures that the City has sufficient redundancy in its City in the event of a facility malfunction or shutdown for maintenance, upgrade or repair.

Wastewater

The City owns and operates it own wastewater collection and conveyance system and contracts with the City of Santa Rosa for wastewater treatment.  All of the City's wastewater is conveyed via pipeline to the City of Santa Rosa Wastewater Treatment Facility on Llano Road.

Storm Water

The City owns and operates the storm water conveyance system associated with City streets and some other non-street related facilities.  Not all storm water systems are owned and operated by the City.  If you have a question as to whether a specific facility is the City's or some other entity's, please contact the Engineering Department.
